Terms & Assessment Conditions
Version 2026-06-5 — E-Auto Doktor (eauto-doktor.de)
Summary (please read before booking):
- Our assessment covers electrical and battery-related diagnostic data only — not bodywork, glass, tires, or general mechanical/roadworthiness inspection.
- On site we use standard diagnostic hardware: access the OBD port (opening the trim panel/cover as needed), connect an adapter and cable, and record data from the vehicle — not a visual-only or subjective inspection.
- Reports are produced using E-Auto Doktor's proprietary assessment platform, analysing diagnostic data recorded directly from the vehicle (and, where booked, Tesla Service Mode screens) at the time of assessment.
- Scores and peer comparisons use our reference database of similar vehicles (same model, comparable year and mileage). Statistics improve as more assessments are completed.
- Reports are informational only. They do not constitute a warranty, guarantee, purchase advice, price guidance, or certified inspection and do not replace diagnosis by Tesla or a qualified workshop.
- E-Auto Doktor is not affiliated with Tesla, Inc. Vehicle firmware and third-party data interfaces may affect raw readings; our analysis interprets these for you.
1. Nature of the service
E-Auto Doktor provides independent pre-purchase and pre-sale assessments for used
Tesla vehicles in Germany. Our reports reflect the vehicle’s electrical and
battery health at the time of testing only, produced by our
proprietary assessment platform — not a generic OBD readout
or third-party app result you could obtain yourself.
2. Scope of assessment — what we do and do not inspect
Our service is an electrical and battery health assessment, not a
general vehicle inspection. To avoid misunderstanding, the following applies:
We assess (non-invasive, at the time of visit):
- High-voltage battery and related electrical systems, as visible through non-invasive diagnostic data recorded on site (parked and, where booked, driving tests).
- Selected electrical subsystems reflected in our parameter groups (e.g. thermal management, DC-DC converter, charging history, drive unit telemetry).
- Tesla Service Mode screens and alert history (Premium package), interpreted by our analysts.
We do not assess unless separately agreed in writing:
- Bodywork, paint, rust, accident damage, or structural repairs.
- Glass (windscreen, windows), lights, and cosmetic exterior or interior condition.
- Tires, wheels, and physical brake or suspension components (beyond what telemetry may imply).
- General mechanical condition, fluid leaks, noises, or drivability not captured in our data.
- TÜV, HU, or other statutory roadworthiness or safety certification.
- … and so on — not limited to the items listed above.
3. On-site procedure — what we do on your vehicle
Our assessment is based on recorded diagnostic data, not guesswork.
By booking and accepting these terms, you agree that our operator may carry out
the following standard, non-invasive steps at the agreed location:
- Brief access to the vehicle interior and the manufacturer diagnostic port (typically behind a plastic trim panel or cover in the footwell area).
- Carefully removing or opening that access panel/cover only as needed to reach the port, and refitting it when the assessment is complete.
- Connecting an approved OBD diagnostic adapter and cable to the vehicle.
- Recording diagnostic data while the vehicle is parked and, where included in your package, during a short supervised drive.
- Entering Tesla Service Mode on the centre display (Premium package) to capture service screens and alert history.
4. Data sources for your report
Each assessment report is produced from:
- Vehicle diagnostic data — recorded on site via E-Auto Doktor
field protocols from the vehicle’s own systems while parked and (where included
in your package) driven. Over 250 electrical and battery parameters are analysed
by our proprietary software.
- Tesla Service Mode review (Premium package) — manufacturer
service screens and alert history, interpreted by our analysts.
- Reference comparisons — scores and “compared to similar
cars” rankings use E-Auto Doktor’s reference database of other assessed
vehicles with the same model, comparable year, and similar mileage.
Until enough comparable vehicles are in our database, peer rankings may be
estimated from a mileage-adjusted statistical model (marked as such in the report).
We do not open the high-voltage battery, dismantle components, or perform invasive
inspections unless explicitly agreed in writing as a separate service.
5. No warranty or guarantee
Reports are provided for informational purposes only. They do not
constitute a warranty, guarantee, certification, or safety approval. They do not
replace a full inspection by an authorized Tesla service centre or a qualified
independent workshop. Hidden defects, accident damage, or conditions not visible in
diagnostic data may not be detected.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, E-Auto Doktor shall not be liable for
direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from or related
to our assessments or reports, including but not limited to:
- Purchase, sale, or pricing decisions you make based on a report
- Inaccuracies in data provided by the vehicle or its firmware
- Conditions not detectable through non-invasive diagnostic procedures
- Changes in vehicle condition after the assessment date
- Firmware updates that alter parameter availability or meaning
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by
negligence, or for fraud, where such exclusion is not permitted by law.
7. Third-party interfaces (legal disclosure)
For transparency: vehicle data may be acquired using industry-standard OBD diagnostic
interfaces and compatible software tools operated by our trained field staff.
The value of our service lies in E-Auto Doktor’s proprietary analysis,
scoring, reference comparisons, and expert report — not in raw data
export. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or in partnership with Tesla, Inc.
Tesla, Model 3, Model Y, and related names are trademarks of Tesla, Inc.
8. Data protection (GDPR)
We process personal and vehicle data to deliver the booked assessment and improve our
reference database. Data is stored securely in the EU. We do not sell customer data.
You may request access or deletion of your personal data by contacting
info@eauto-doktor.de.
Details are set out in our
Datenschutzerklärung (privacy notice).
9. Your acceptance
By ticking the acceptance box on the booking form, you confirm that you have read these
Terms & Assessment Conditions, understand how your report is produced (including the
on-site diagnostic procedure in section 3), and agree to be bound by them. Your acceptance is recorded with date, terms version, and
connection metadata for audit purposes.
